Soul Beach Music Festival was founded in 1997 and is held annually over Memorial Day weekend in Aruba. The five-day festival combines headline R&B and soul concerts with comedy shows, beach parties, sunset cruises, and resort activations. Past headliners have included Mary J. Blige, Charlie Wilson, Kem, Maxwell, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, and Kevin Hart. The festival has become a fixture on the calendar of Black professional cultural travel and a defining Memorial Day weekend destination for attendees seeking a beach resort experience alongside the music programming.
