Week-long celebration of HBCU alumni community on Martha's Vineyard, combines philanthropy, networking, and signature events across the historic Black summer enclave.
HBCU Legacy Week is an annual week-long celebration of Historically Black College and University alumni community held on Martha's Vineyard in late July or early August. Programming includes alumni mixers organized by school, fundraising events benefiting HBCU scholarship funds, beach activations, brunches, a signature gala, and integration with other Vineyard cultural programming. The week has become one of the most concentrated gatherings of HBCU alumni outside of homecoming season and a fixture of the Vineyard's Black professional summer.
